Costume Makes
My aim has always been to create beautiful costumes from all time periods and all genres of theatre, film and television as well as personal projects. I have been able to explore my own creativity on specialist studies and on productions. In doing this, I improved my technical making skills using authors such as Janet Arnold and Norah Waugh and leaned into the research to aid my craft.
Third year specialist study on a Pre-Raphaelite and medieval inspired Kirtle and Surcote.
Third year specialist study of a 1610-20 men's doublet from Janet Arnold's Patterns of Fashion 3.
1860s bodice and skirt, made for the character of Amy March.
Based on Janet Arnold's Pattern of Fashion book.
Five dresses and aprons for the production of The Sewing Group.
I made a modern yellow dress and broke it down for this production.
